Jawbone ICON Hands-Free Device - A Hit!
By bawiggins
The need to be safer on the road and my constant long trips created a need for a hands-free device for my cell phone. A friend of mine got one for Christmas that worked like a speaker phone in his car. I looked at it and he demonstrated how it worked, but I wasn’t keen on having an amplified hands-free speaker phone for my car. If that’s what I had wanted, I could just use the speaker function that already existed on my phone. So, I decided on an ear piece device instead. And, thus, I began my research.
I looked on several websites, went to electronics stores, and read reviews. My criteria included reduced noise interference, ease of use, reliability, comfort, and compatibility with my iPhone. After much research, I decided on the Jawbone ICON. And, thus far, I have been very happy with my choice.
It is very comfortable and comes with several sizes and types of earpiece attachments. This allowed me to try different configurations and find the one that fits best. I also liked the noise assassin technology. It eliminates peripheral noise I hear and any background noise the person I’m talking with could hear.
It is also easy to use with my iPhone. I can use my voice dial function to make outgoing calls and hear who is calling me. I can also listen to music through my Jawbone earpiece, if I want. This comes in handy while I’m waiting at the doctor’s office or playing games that I don’t want other people to hear.
One of the best features of the Jawbone ICON is it’s software. I can download apps that personalize my Jawbone ICON to meet my needs. These apps allow me to check texts, emails and dictate notes. I can even link to Twitter and update my status while on the go. This can all be done safely while I’m driving, waiting in traffic or standing in line.
The Jawbone ICON is extremely user-friendly and a great accessory for those of us who drive a great deal. I would highly recommend this hands-free device to anyone looking to drive safer and smarter.
